The Jets have not beaten the New England Patriots since Week 16 of the 2015 season, but this year could be different.

Just ask Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman.

The Super Bowl LIII MVP has noticed what the Jets have done this offseason and expects Gang Green to be a challenge for the defending Super Bowl champions this upcoming season.

"They've got some new coaches and some really dynamic players and a young quarterback," he told George Willis of The Post on Monday. "They also have a defense that for some reason does real well against us. People ask me when I'm in New York about the Giants and the Jets. Those teams have always played us well. Now the Jets have [Adam] Gase and he's got some blueprints from Miami, where he beat us. It's going to be a tough matchup."

Gase was 2-4 against the Patriots as head coach of the Dolphins and now oversees a Jets team that added RB Le'Veon Bell and WR Jamison Crowder to an offense with second-year QB Sam Darnold, and LB C.J. Mosley and DT Quinnen Williams to a defense with Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams.

The moves have certainly positioned the Jets on paper as perhaps the biggest threat to dethrone the Patriots in the AFC East, which they have won 15 of the past 16 years.

At the very least, the Patriots will not be overlooking what the Jets have done this offseason.
