Leonard Williams has been a Giant for just over a week, but he's already getting set to face his former squad.

The former sixth overall pick of the Jets in the 2015 draft will suit up for his second game as a member of Big Blue on Sunday, with his former Jets teammates and coaches on the other sideline.

Speaking to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano, Williams explained that he's feeling more excitement than anything else when it comes to playing his former team.

"My emotions right now are just excitement," Williams said. "I don't feel like I have any chip on my shoulder or like a grudge or anything like that that some people are probably expecting and that I've been asked about already, but it's more just exciting going against a team that I played for and guys that I know, so I understand their tendencies and stuff like that."

Sunday's game obviously has more meaning to the 25-year-old, who played the first 71 games of his NFL career for Gang Green.

But don't expect Williams' emotions to get the best of him.

"(I don't play with a chip) just because you don't want to play too high or too low. You kind of want to be the same player all the time, so you kind of want to treat every week the same.

"Obviously, you want to have juice and like a little extra, and I do have that, but I'm not saying that I'm going to go out there and play off the script just because I'm going against one of my former teams. At the same time, they did trade me, so I want to prove to this team that picked me up that they got a good player. I'm going to go out there and try to show it."

Williams production has dipped this year, as he's yet to record a sack in eight games. Still, Williams can provide some important info about his former teammates to the ones he shares a locker room with now.

"There's been some talk around the locker room," Williams said. "I've been giving the offensive guy some info, I've been giving the D-line some info about the (Jets) O-line, but we're still watching film and preparing the same way we would each week."
