Brady underwent surgery to repair dislocated patella in right knee

UConn announced Wednesday that freshman forward Ice Brady will miss the 2022-23 season after suffering a torn patella in her right knee during practice on Oct. 21.

Brady underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair the knee, and will begin her rehab process on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3 forward attended Cathedral Catholic HS in San Diego, California and was the No. 5 overall recruit in the 2022 class per ESPN

She averaged 20.7 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks as a senior, and earned McDonald's, Jordan Brand, and SLAM All-American honors. Brady also helped lead Team USA to the gold medal at the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship, where she averaged 13.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game..
