After finishing their UConn careers, UConn greats Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collier are officially leaving Storrs to begin their WNBA careers.
Samuelson was drafted fourth by the Chicago Sky, while Collier was picked sixth by the Minnesota Lynx at Wednesday's WNBA draft.
A 6-foot-3 forward, Samuelson averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds with the Huskies, who lost in the Final Four for the third straight season after winning four straight NCAA titles from 2013 to 2016, Samuelson's freshman year.
Collier, a 6-foot-2 forward, averaged a double-double with 21 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Samuelson joins Gabby Williams and Stefanie Dolson as former UConn players with the Sky.
With Maya Moore sitting out the 2019 season, Collier is the only former Husky currently with Minnesota.
