The Syracuse Mets have postponed Tuesday’s game against the Buffalo Bisons in order to “allow for additional testing and contact tracing of members of the Mets Organization.”
The team later announced that one player had tested positive for COVID-19, but as of now, Wednesday's game will be played as scheduled.
Brandon Nimmo had been scheduled to lead off and play center field for Syracuse as he continues his rehab assignment.
Michael Conforto and Patrick Mazeika both rejoined the Mets from Syracuse on Tuesday, though Conforto was not officially activated prior to Tuesday's game. Conforto tested negative on Tuesday, however, and the Mets intend to activate him on Wednesday.
