The Jets' quarterback situation after Trevor Siemian went down with an injury on Monday night got even worse, as Sam Darnold is still fighting mono. That paired with other issues the team is facing has sportsbooks predicting their next contest to be a blowout.

The Jets are set to travel to Foxborough to face the 2-0 Patriots this Sunday, and New England is an obvious favorite to stay undefeated in this one. But with Luke Falk set to start for the Jets and the Patriots being absolutely dominant in their first two games, the spread is massive.

The Patriots are giving 22.5 points to the Jets, according to multiple sportsbooks. That spread is unheard of for an NFL game, but with the Pats outscoring their opponents 76-3 so far this season, paired with the Jets' struggles, many believe it isn't far-fetched.

Not only is their the quarterback situation for the Jets, but LB C.J. Mosley and DT Quinnen Williams are also still up in the air for Week 3. Mosley has been dealing with a groin injury and Williams' ankle is still bothering him as well.

The Browns certainly had their way with the Jets at MetLife Stadium last night, dishing out a 23-3 loss to the home team on Monday night. New York will hit the road for the first time this season now, and Gillette Stadium is never inviting to the division rival.

The spread can always change throughout the week, but the fact that it's this high already is not good news for the Jets whatsoever.
