The Knicks parted ways with head coach David Fizdale earlier this month after his squad started 4-18. But he won't be waiting around to find work until next season.

SNY's Ian Begley has sources telling him that Fizdale will be returning to ESPN as an NBA analyst later this season. He'll be a studio analyst appearing on various shows that discuss the NBA.

Fizdale served as an analyst two seasons ago before the Knicks made him their head coach during the 2018-19 season.

Through his one and a half seasons with the Knicks, Fizdale owned a 21-83 record as he was trying to lead the team's rebuild with a very young roster. New York was expected to lose a ton of games last season, with the goal to just remain competitive in each of them. However, with the addition of veteran free agents and RJ Barrett through the Draft, the Knicks weren't supposed to have the record they did to start the season under Fizdale.

Since interim head coach Mike Miller took over, the Knicks are 3-5. The team has responded well to the coaching change in his eyes, as several players say they've bought into Miller's coaching methods and changes.
