Former Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson added insult to injury following Gang Green's 37-17 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.

Richardson, who had two tackles for the Vikings in the victory, took a shot at Jets fans after noticing a fair amount of purple jerseys in the seats at MetLife Stadium.

"We travel well...I noticed that," Richardson said, per the New York Post. "The Jets never really filled up stadiums anyway."

The 27-year-old former first-round draft also added a little dig at the Jets offense, which turned the ball over four times.

"They kind of served them up on a platter," Richardson said. "It wasn't really that hard."

Rookie quarterback Sam Darnold was responsible for most of the turnovers, tossing three interceptions on a cold October day -- which Richardson said appeared to rattle the Jets quarterback.

"He looked like he was cold, he looked like he was frustrated a little bit, was frustrated with play-calling, frustrated with his line a little bit," Richardson told the New York Post. "That's what I can tell you. I don't know if he's good or bad off of that."

While Richardson was critical of the Jets fans and their offense, the 2013 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year added that beating his former team -- who traded him to the Seahawks at the start of last season -- held no extra significance for him.

"Life goes on," he said. "That's still my family over there. It's all love. Football's a family. It was fun. Of course it was fun, but this was just another game. There's a whole other half a season to play.
