Tim Tebow is tying the knot.

The Mets prospect proposed to his girlfriend, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters -- a former Miss Universe and Miss South Africa winner -- and she said yes. Tebow put the 7.25-carat ring on her finger at a scenic view on his family's farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida, according to PEOPLE.

But that wasn't all Tebow surprised Nel-Peters with. He had South African signer Matthew Mole sing "The Wedding Song" to the now-engaged couple, which is one of their favorite songs.

The 31-year-old, who flew out Nel-Peters' family and friends secretly to witness the moment, said he wasn't nervous at all for the proposal.

"I actually wasn't really nervous," he said. "I was excited. I wanted everything to be perfect and to go smoothly. But I wasn't nervous to actually ask her."

Now that this big feat for Tebow has been accomplished, he will look ahead to his next season with the Mets where he is looking for a big comeback. He suffered a season-ending injury to his hand, which he indulged on earlier this offseason.

"In every setback, there's a comeback," he said in a video opening up about his hammate injury. "Our God is full of comebacks. There's disappointing things that happen, and of course that was disappointing for me. But at the same time, comebacks are pretty awesome, and I can't wait for this one. That was also the mindset of hwo hard I work, how hard I train to come back from this."

Good thing for Tebow is Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen definitely believes he can make it to the big leagues, and it may even happen this season if he picks up where he left off in 2018.

"If we somehow suffered an injury and we needed somebody to replace Brandon Nimmo or Michael Conforto in the starting lineup, and if Tim Tebow is the best offensive player in Triple-A at that point in time, he's going to be in [Mickey Callaway's] lineup," Van Wagenen said.

Van Wagenen expects Tebow to start the season with Triple-A Syracuse, and both of them hope to see production similar to his .273 average, six homers and 46 RBI last season in Double-A.

Tebow will report to Port St. Lucie for Mets Spring Training on Feb. 16, and he will come in as an engaged man.
