Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram were full participants at Giants practice on Wednesday, setting themselves up to play Sunday against the Cardinals, barring any setbacks.

Barkley (ankle), Engram (knee) and Sterling Shepard (concussion) all took part in individual drills at practice Wednesday, though Shepard was a limited participant.

The developments from all three players come at the perfect time, as the Giants are still very much in the race for the NFC East division title, with the Cowboys and Eagles just one game ahead at 3-3.

Barkley nearly returned to the Giants last week for their Thursday Night Football game against the Patriots, but was ultimately held out. The Giants were without the above trio for that game and fell 35-14 to the Patriots. He has been out since Week 3 against the Buccaneers.

"He's kind of like a caged lion," Will Hernandez told Newsday's Tom Rock of Barkley. "When you cage them up and you don't feed them, they get antsy, and as soon as you let them out of that cage they go crazy and they eat more than they would have had they not been caged in the first place. Saquon feels like he wants to be out there, he wants to play, but he can't. But the minute he gets a chance to run free he's going to take advantage of it and he's going to make it worth watching for everybody."

Engram was off to a good start through the first five games of the season for New York, and was frustrated that his injury had to cut into that production.

"I was pretty down about missing last Thursday," Engram said Wednesday after practice. "I'm definitely really hungry and going out there, getting back out there is going to be fun."

Daniel Jones will surely be excited to get all these weapons back and the offense nearly at full strength.
