The Jets listed 12 players on Wednesday's injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, many of which did not surprise.

One noteworthy entry, though, was Robby Anderson.

New York's big-play receiver was estimated -- the team did not practice on Christmas Day -- as limited with a calf injury.

Anderson entered last Sunday's 16-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers as questionable, but with an illness. For all of the 2019 season, Anderson has been healthy, playing in 15 games. He is second on the team in receiving yards with 761 yards, his numbers trailing only Jamison Crowder's 767 yards. Averaging 15.5 yards per catch, Anderson has five touchdowns -- including a long of 92 -- on 49 receptions.

Before the season, Anderson actually had a calf injury flare up late in August, keeping him out of practice. Anderson did not play in the Jets' final preseason game, Aug. 29's 6-0 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but got back to full speed for the regular-season opener and beyond.

While the playoffs are out of reach, the Jets (6-9) have a chance to end the season on a high note in Week 17 against the Bills (10-5). The Jets head to 17-16 to New Era Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, and face Bills after Buffalo recorded the 17-16 edge last time to take Sept. 8's opener.

The rest of the Jets' injury report included the following names: Offensive lineman Tom Compton (calf), cornerback Nate Hairston (illness), wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring/knee) and offensive lineman Alex Lewis (ankle) would not have practiced.

Safety Jamal Adams (ankle), defensive lineman Henry Anderson (knee/shoulder), offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum (back/ankles), defensive lineman Steve McLendon (knee/hip) and Robby Anderson would have been limited. Linebacker James Burgess (thumb), quarterback Sam Darnold (knee/left thumb) and Crowder (thumb) would have been full participants.

Like the Jets, the Bills did not practice Wednesday, but only had four names on their injury report. They estimated that defensive end Shaq Lawson (hamstring), offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe (ankle) and wide receiver Andre Roberts (foot) would not have practiced while center Mitch Morse (ankle) would have been a full participant.
