The Rangers have named six alternate captains for the 2021-22 season.

Those players are Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad, Jacob Trouba, Ryan Strome, and Barclay Goodrow.

Head coach Gerard Gallant told reporters on Monday that it was his decision to not name a captain at this time.

Per Gallant, Rangers president and GM Chris Drury let him have final say.
