Rangers loan Lias Andersson to HV71 of Sweedish Hockey League

Andersson was the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft

The Rangers announced on Sunday that they have loaned Lias Andersson to HV71 of the Sweedish Hockey League.

Andersson has played in 17 games with the Rangers this season, while also playing in 13 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

He was selected by the Rangers with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. In 66 career NHL games, Andersson recorded three goals and six assists.

Andersson played three seasons in the HV71 organization, including parts of the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons in the SHL, helping them win the SHL Championship in 2017.
