The Knicks won their second-straight game to open up the Summer League, this time taking down the Bulls, 101-69.
Here are a few notes from the game...
- The Knicks jumped out to a 23-6 lead early, and quite frankly never looked back, with Quentin Grimes (seven) and Miles McBride (five) scoring more than half of those points, as the Bulls missed their first 11 field goals.
- Grimes kept the hot shooting up in the second quarter, and finished the second half with 18 points on 5-for-9 shooting (4-for-7 from deep), as the Knicks led 59-24. He finished with 24 on the afternoon, not playing the fourth quarter.
- Jericho Sims grabbed some big time boards, finishing the first half with seven. He finished with a double-double, scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- A pleasant surprise of the day was DaQuan Jeffries, whose 11 points at the half was the second-most among all scorers. He was 4-for-5 in the first half. He finished with 13 on the day.
- Trevor Keels struggled in this one, shooting just 20 percent (2-for-10) from the floor. He finished with five points.
- Four Knicks finished with double-digit points: Grimes, McBride (14), Sims, and Jeffries.
