Two-time NBA champion and two-time Finals MVP, Kevin Durant, showed some love to one of New York City's basketball staples, as he made a surprise visit to Dyckman Park.

Durant was showered with cheers as he walked the legendary court, and he even knocked down a three for the crowd. Accompanied by Warriors teammate Quinn Cook, Durant watched a game and got into it at the end as he stood with the rest of the spectators.

Durant will become a free agent after the 2018-19 season, and there have been rumors that he could land in New York with the Knicks. ESPN's Zach Lowe said the Knicks should be high on Durant come free agency next year.

"People who have spent years around Durant can't say for sure what he wants from the game," Lowe writes. "It's unclear if he knows. Some of those people predict, if you force them, that he will one day leave Golden State for a team that can be truly his."

Durant is one cog of the Golden State Warriors' seemingly unstoppable machine, and going to the Knicks (or another franchise in transition) would give him the opportunity to be the guy.

Teaming up with versatile big man Kristaps Porzingis and budding star Kevin Knox, Durant could be the man to make the Knicks an immediate contender.

"I can play any style, with any player, anywhere in the world," Durant said, according to Lowe. "I can pick up my game and move anywhere I want."

Looking at his Dyckman appearance, it looks like the NYC faithful already love him.
