ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" reportedly could have changes coming on the horizon.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, ESPN is considering scrapping its current broadcast crew as it examines other potential personalities in the booth for MLB's 2020 season.

While Alex Rodriguez is safe no matter what with one more year left on his contract, he could have new teammates alongside him when the program returns next spring.

But the other two broadcasters in the booth, play-by-play announcer Matt Vasgersian and color analyst Jessica Mendoza, have what Marchand pegged through sources as a 70-percent chance to return with Rodriguez.

Marchand added that the network would "look around" and check whether or not if potential replacements are worth bringing in for the two, though the second season with the three on "Sunday Night Baseball" led to slightly better ratings than the 2018 campaign provided.

Considered "highly valued by ESPN's hierarchy," in the words of Marchand, Mendoza was an Olympic gold medalist softball player and is expected that the network would only take her out of the broadcast crew if she had another "significant" program to appear on.

Mendoza is also an adviser to Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen and had to walk the tight line between a conflict of interest with New York's personnel possibilities when discussing players and moves on the "Sunday Night Baseball" broadcasts.

Rodriguez also contributes to Fox Sports as a studio analyst and currently is on the set with Kevin Burkhardt, David Ortiz and Frank Thomas throughout the postseason in a spot where Marchand and others believe the former Yankees third baseman thrives.

Like Mendoza, Rodriguez was an adviser, but only for the 2018 season.

Vasgersian, on the other hand, was considered by Marchand to be a package deal with Rodriguez to join Mendoza on "Sunday Night Baseball" before the 2018 season.

Also a studio host for MLB Network, Vasgersian formerly called play-by-play broadcasts for the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres.
