The Mets are now a season-high six games over .500 after their 4-3 victory over the Indians on Wednesday night. J.D. Davis was the hero, hitting his first career walk-off in the 10th inning. He is second in the NL with a .371 batting average and tied for ninth with a .429 on-base-percentage since the All-Star break. ... The team has now won 12 of its last 13 home games and is 36-21 at Citi Field this year. ... With a win tonight the Mets will match the total amount of victories at home in both 2017 and 2018. ... Wilson Ramos is currently on a 15-game hitting streak, the longest active streak in the majors. Who is starting for the Mets?

RHP Noah Syndergaard (8-6, 3.86 ERA) will be facing the Indians for the first time in his career. The righty failed to reach 7.0 innings in his last outing, going just 6.0 innings against the Royals. He gave up two earned runs on five hits and struck out six batters, but got the loss. The Mets are 5-1 over Syndergaard's last six starts at home, dating back to June 9.

Who is starting for the Indians?

RHP Aaron Civale (1-2, 1.50 ERA) has reached at least 6.0 innings in all three of his career starts. The 24-year-old got a win in his debut against the Detroit Tigers on June 22, striking out six and not allowing any runs. In his last start on Aug. 16 against the Yankees, he got the loss after allowing eight hits and two earned runs, while striking out four over 6.0 innings.

The Mets start a three-game series with the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves on Friday at 7:10 p.m. on SNY.
