The NFL Players Association sent out an email on Tuesday morning warning all NFL agents of a possible work stoppage 'less than two years away,' according to a report from Liz Mullen of SportsBusiness Daily.

NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith advised all agents to encourage their player clients to begin planning ahead for 'a work stoppage of at least a year in length.'

This latest memo from the NFLPA comes after an earlier report on Tuesday from the New York Times that seemed to indicate talks between the NFL and NFLPA were progressing towards a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. The current CBA, a 10-year agreement, was agreed to by both sides in August 2011, after a lockout of about four and a half months.
