As our country continues to slowly reopen, the NFL is doing the exact same as the coronavirus curve is beginning to flatten. And while there are no dates set yet for when players can start returning to facilities, the league does have the health and safety protocols set for when that time comes.

The league issued a memo on Monday to all clubs explaining in detail how it plans to have players return to team facilities. Inside it are topics like physical distancing, cleaning and disinfecting the facility, and equipment cleaning.

When taking a look at the physical distancing subsection, for instance, here's just some of how the memo reads:

Clubs must practice social distancing of at least six feet from one another.
In order to practice social distancing at all times, faculty must rearrange/remove furniture, which will include new locker room configurations.
Weight rooms will only be allowed no more than 15 people at one time.
Virtual meetings must take place whenever possible. If it needs to be in-person, clubs are being urged to do so outdoors.

It will be interesting to see how teams configure their locker rooms, with 90 players usually there during training camp days. Also, it is worth noting that everyone must be wearing a mask while in the facility, and during outdoor meetings.

The NFL did not address anything in regards to player testing, what will happen if a player does test positive for coronavirus, and how traveling will work to assure player safety.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the league and the NFLPA are both discussing the potential of players like rookies and veterans that have changed teams to return to team facilities before June 26.

Finally, the league said that these health and safety protocols are fluid, as more continues to be learned about the virus.

The NFL is still hoping that the virus won't affect the start to its season, but there are precautions in place for if that does become the case. For now, they will continue prepping as best they can for training camp, which is upon us in less than two months.
