NBA commissioner Adam Silver provided some league updates on a call with players on Friday evening.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Silver touched on a few key topics, including a decision on resuming the season potentially not being made until June, action resuming without fans in attendance, and how playing in one or two arenas would be the safer option than playing in all teams' home cities.

With the MLB and NHL both discussing similar hub city ideas, Silver mentioned that playing in one or two locations, such as a Disney World in Orlando and Las Vegas, could be the safer way for play to resume, at least at the start, per The Athletic.

Meanwhile, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that if/when the regular season resumes, there would likely be a training camp period of at least three weeks before any games were to take place.

The Athletic also reports that the goal for NBA is to have daily, rapid testing available, so that in the case of a player or players testing positive for the virus, the league would not have to suspend play again.

Like all sports leagues, the NBA is feeling the economic effects of the pandemic, as Silver noted on the call that 40 percent of the league's revenue comes from fans.

But the NBA seems to be taking small steps toward resuming play, as some team facilites begin to reopen with testing available for asymptomatic players and staff as they enter the building for individual workouts.
