NBA Summer League, how you've been missed.
The Knicks will get things started this Friday in Las Vegas when they face off against Zion Williamson and the new-look New Orleans Pelicans. New York's squad will be coached by Jud Buechler, an assistant on head coach David Fizdale's staff.
Fizdale and Co. will get to see RJ Barrett's first shot against NBA competition, as well as the start of Mitchell Robinson and Kevin Knox's second seasons. Fans will also get their first look at the team's second round pick, Ignas Brazdeikis.
Aside from the main attractions, the roster features plenty of guys who will aim to make their mark. Here are a few that could make some noise:
Amir Hinton
- 22-year-old combo guard who split his collegiate time with Division-II schools Lock Haven and Shaw.
- Natural scorer who (while at Lock Haven) became the fastest player in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
- While at Shaw, he averaged a D-II best 29.4 points per game while shooting 48.8% from the field in his first and only season there.
- Earned the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Player of the Year award at Shaw.
- High-volume and efficient mid-range shooter, an area he used for 56% of his shots last season.
Lamar Peters
- 21-year-old who just completed three seasons at Mississippi State under head coach Ben Howland.
- Shot 39.8% from the field while averaging 12 points per game in his junior year.
- Had five 20+ point games and 21 games of five assists or more.
- Tallied 21 points, five assists against Liberty in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
- Has advanced court vision and impressive handles, though his shot selection is questionable at times.

Kenny Wooten III
- 21-year-old forward who spent two seasons as a member of the Oregon Ducks.
- Finished his collegiate career averaging 6.4 points per game and 4.7 total rebounds per game.
- Primarily known for his shot-blocking ability, finishing with an average of 2.2 per game in 2018-2019.
- Was a standout in Oregon's 2019 NCAA Tournament appearance with 11 blocks, 14 rebounds and 20 points between games against Wisconsin and UC-Irvine.
- Competed in the G-League Elite minicamp in May, but was not invited to the Draft Combine.
