Mets acting general manager Zack Scott shared some positive news on Saturday ahead of the team's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Scott said that Jacob deGrom "is ready to roll for tomorrow" after 10 days of rest. He last pitched on April 28 against the Boston Red Sox before being scratched from his next scheduled start due to right lat inflammation.

The righty threw a side session and played catch on Friday, as manager Luis Rojas was waiting to see how he felt on Saturday before penciling him in to start Sunday's game. He is 2-2 with a 0.51 ERA with 59 strikeouts over five starts and 35.0 IP this season.

Scott went on to discuss the rehab processes of pitchers Noah Syndergaard and Seth Lugo, with both getting closer to a return on the field. He mentioned that the timelines for both players has not changed, and they will prepare for assignments in the next week.

"So Noah and Seth, we're hoping they are ready in a week or so to start rehab assignments," Scott said. "So that would be a good step forward for both of them to get them on their way back. I don't think anything has really changed on their timelines. I guess if we're thinking through how typically rehab assignments work, we're looking at late May with Seth, a reliever tends to build faster. And then still sometime in June with Noah. That's really now building them up to get game ready, that's a good next step once they start doing that, which like I said I think would be in a week or so.

Scott also talked about pitcher Carlos Carrasco's rehab progression, as the righty was placed on the 60-day IL on Thursday with a hamstring injury.

"Carlos' case is different. So Carlos, part of a typical rehab progression especially with soft tissue injuries, at some point you have to push the player to see where their limits are. A lot of those injuries, the progression is feedback based. You can look at MRIs all day long, but a lot of injuries we ramp up intensity and see how the person responds to it. So in his case when we hit certain check points that we were expecting to hit in terms of intensity level going up, there was still an issue to the point where we are going to back off on in his progression.

"I know there was talk about him doing a rehab outing or starting his rehab progression in games, that's not going to happen, that's going to wait a while. I'm not going to put a timetable on it because it's an estimate that's based on how he feels, how he responds. We're going to back off on the hamstring a little bit right now."
