Mets INF T.J. Rivera left his rehab game with the 51s due to discomfort in his arm. He played five innings before being removed.

Rivera had Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last September after initially trying to rehab the injury. He was previously aiming to return by May, but that was pushed back and he made his rehab debut on July 5.

"His arm was not feeling the way it should have so we're going to reevaluate him tomorrow, see what the plan is," 51s manager Tony DeFrancesco said, via Betsy Helfand.

The 29-year-old landed on the disabled list on June 28 of last season with a partial tear of his UCL and tried to rehab the injury, but opted for surgery.

Rivera played in 73 games for the Mets last season and played second base, first base, third base, and left field. He hit 290/.330/.430 with five HR, 13 doubles, and 27 RBI.
