The Mets took care of the St. Louis Cardinals 7-3 on Wednesday afternoon, with Jacob deGrom pitching four strong innings. >> Box Score
5 things to know about Wednesday's game...
1) Jacob deGrom looked every bit the reigning two-time NL Cy Young winner, retiring the first 10 hitters he faced in order, including a perfect opening three frames. Matt Carpenter tagged him with a solo home run in the fourth to break the streak, but that would be the only hit deGrom allowed over 4.0 innings of work. He struck out three hitters without a walk and lowered his spring ERA to 1.29.
2) J.D. Davis, in his second game back from a shoulder injury, went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in three runs, including a two-run home run off Carlos Martinez in the third inning.
3) Dellin Betances made his second appearance of the spring, and it went much better than his debut. The right-hander pitched the fifth inning for the Mets, without allowing a hit. He did walk one hitter, but he forced three flyouts in the frame.

4) Jeurys Familia and Edwin Diaz also pitched out of the bullpen for the Mets on Wednesday. Like Betances, the duo did not allow a hit during their two combined innings. Familia walked one hitter, while Diaz had a 1-2-3 inning of work.
5) Jeff McNeil and Robinson Cano, hitting first and third, respectively, accounted for four hits on the afternoon. McNeil is now hitting .462 this spring, while Cano is up to .300.
