Four things to know from Friday's game...

1) Jacob deGrom gave the Mets six innings on Friday, but he was lifted after throwing 112 pitches. DeGrom struck out 10 Rockies and allowed just two earned runs. He wasn't taken out for a pinch-hitter, but instead was simply pulled in favor of Robert Gsellman in the seven inning. DeGrom is now 3-6 on the season.

2) The Mets' bats had trouble solving Rockies starter Senzatela. The right-hander allowed just two hits through the first five innings, though Michael Conforto was able to solve him in the sixth inning with a solo home run. Senzatela pitched six innings, allowing just four hits and that one earned run.

3) It was another tough outing for Drew Gagnon, who entered a one-run game in the eighth inning. With one away, David Dahl lifted a two-run home run to right to give the Rockies a 4-1 lead. Murphy then reacquainted himself to the Citi Field crowd, as he launched a two-run homer off of Gagnon. The Mets' righty gave up three runs on three hits, while failing to get out of the frame.

4) After giving up the two home runs, Gagnon then plunked Ian Desmond, causing both dugouts and bullpens to empty. No one was ejected, though Murphy seemed very animated coming out of the Rockies' dugout.

The Mets and Rockies play their second of three games on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. Steven Matz (4-4, 3.97 ERA) goes for the Mets against Rockies' righty Jon Gray (5-4, 4.11 ERA).
