On Saturday, the Mets signed LHP Nate Fisher to a minor league contract, according to SNY contributor Jacob Resnick.
Fisher, who went undrafted in 2019 out of Nebraska, pitched for the Seattle Mariners’ Triple-A team the Tacoma Rainiers in 2021 where he had a 2.89 ERA and 11.3 K/9.
The 25-year-old has yet to pitch in the majors, but in two seasons in the minors he sports a 3.53 ERA in 79 innings to go along with 87 strikeouts and 18 walks and will undoubtedly fight for a spot in the Mets bullpen in 2022.
