The Mets set a new franchise home run record on Saturday night.

Trailing the Nationals 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning, JD Davis and Wilson Ramos went back to back off of Patrick Corbin, tying the game and amplifying the Citi Field crowd's volume.

It was the second-straight night that the Mets went back to back, with Pete Alonso and Davis teaming up on Friday, but it also made it eight straight multi-home run games for the Mets, setting a new franchise mark.

The previous record was set earlier this season, from June 20-26.

The Mets have been on a powerful streak as of late, blasting 21 home runs over their last eight games. Overall, the team has now blasted 175 home runs in 117 games this season. For comparison, they hit just 170 long balls in 162 games last season.

They've also turned Citi Field into a hitter's park, crushing 88 home runs in 54 games. Last season, the Mets hit just 75 home runs in their 81 home games.
