Mets recall pitcher Jacob Rhame, option pitcher Tyler Bashlor to Triple-A Syracuse

Team also announced they claimed LHP Donnie Hart off waivers from Brewers

Prior to Saturday's game against the Pirates, the Mets announced they had recalled pitcher Jacob Rhame and optioned pitcher Tyler Bashlor to Triple-A Syrcause.

Rhame has appeared in four games this year, pitching to an 0-1 record with a 5.40 ERA, allowing three runs on three hits over five innings. He's struggled with his control, issuing eight walks while striking out five.

Bashlor is 0-3 with a 7.16 ERA in 18 games pitched this season. He's struck out 14 batters and walked 10 over 16.1 innings pitched.

 

In a separate transaction, the Mets also claimed left-handed pitcher Donnie Hart off of waivers from the Brewers. Hart has appeared in four games for Milwaukee this season, tossing 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out three.
