The Mets announced Friday that the team has recalled pitchers Tyler Bashlor and Stephen Nogosek and optioned pitcher Chris Mazza and SS Luis Guillorme to Triple-A Syracuse.

The move gives Mickey Callaway more options out of the bullpen for Friday's game after Thursday's contest lasted 16 innings, with the Mets using a total of eight pitchers in an eventual 3-2 loss. Mazza was saddled with the decision, allowing two runs on five hits with a chance to close the game out in the 16th.

Guillorme logged five games played with the Mets since being recalled on July 2. He's appeared in 17 games overall this season, hitting .182/.217/.182.

Bashlor, 26, returns to the Mets after being optioned to Syracuse on June 4. In 13 appearances for the Mets in 2019, he's posted an 0-3 record with a 5.40 ERA in 11.2 innings pitched. In 24 games with Syracuse, he's struck out 30 hitters in 28 innings, putting together a 3-2 record out of the bullpen.

Nogosek, 24, made his Major League debut with the Mets earlier this season and has appeared in five games in 2019. He's logged 4.2 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits, walking two and striking out three.

Jacob Rhame, who served a suspension Thursday for plunking Rhys Hoskins on April 23, will also be available out of the Mets bullpen Friday.
