The early odds on who will take home the 2021 Cy Young Awards for each league are out, and wouldn't you know it, the top pitchers in New York are the favorites.

Aces Jacob deGrom and Gerrit Cole of the Mets and Yankees lead the pack in their respective divisions, according to DraftKings. DeGrom's odds are +500 while Cole's land at +350.

DeGrom didn't make his three-peat last season, with Trevor Bauer taking home the award. But he was still a nominee with an outstanding 2.38 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 12 games in the shortened season.

But there was no doubt deGrom was the best pitcher in baseball in 2018 when he tossed a 1.70 ERA and 0.91 WHIP over 32 games to secure his first award. Then, in 2019, he followed it up with a 2.43 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 255 strikeouts to secure back-to-back Cy Young awards, which has only been done by a handful of greats in the past.

Cole is still searching for his first career Cy Young after coming so close in 2019, but his Astros teammate, Justin Verlander, secured it after an insane performance. He came in fourth last season in voting after posting a 2.84 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 94 strikeouts over 12 games. Cole had some tough starts, but was mainly consistent in getting hitters out and providing the Yanks with ace-like stuff all season -- something they'd been searching for.

As for their competition, the reigning AL Cy Young winner, Indians RHP Shane Bieber, is close behind at +400 followed by White Sox' Lucas Giolito (+450) and Rays Tyler Glasnow (+950).

For deGrom, the usual suspects like Bauer (+700), Nationals' Max Scherzer (+850) and Dodgers' Walker Buehler (+1000) are in the running.
