At a news conference at the start of spring training, Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns announced two pieces of big news.  First up, Francisco Lindor will be evaluated on Wednesday for a stress reaction in his left hamate bone, which could require surgery.  In addition, a decision has been made that Juan Soto will play left field for the Mets this season.
