Who is starting for the Reds?
RHP Luis Castillo (3-1, 1.23 ERA), who has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball this season. His four-seamer has been touching the upper-90s and is coming off six scoreless innings against the Braves. He's yielded five earned runs in 36 2/3 innings to start the year.
Who is starting for the Mets?
LHP Jason Vargas (1-1, 7.20 ERA) will make his fifth start of the season. The last two outings for him have not been terrible -- one earned run over four innings in St. Louis and one earned run over 4 2/3 frames against Philadelphia -- and the Mets will seek that kind of effort Tuesday.
