LeBron James apparently likes the idea of Kyrie Irving joining him in Los Angeles.

James liked an Instagram post from CuffsTheLegend, one of James' friends, that showed Irving in a Lakers jersey.

Irving will test free agency this summer after the Celtics lost in the second round of the playoffs to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Knicks are expected to be among Irving's suitors and Irving is expected to give the club consideration.

But James and the Lakers certainly loom as a threat to any Irving-to-New York scenarios.

One rival executive said earlier this month that he and other execs see the possibility of Irving and Anthony Davis ending up in Los Angeles alongside James as something that's very real.

Of course, Boston, which can offer Irving the longest and most lucrative contract in free agency, shouldn't be dismissed. The Celtics can sign Irving to a five-year, $190 million max contract. All other teams can offer Irving a four-year, $141 million max contract.

It would be quite a reunion if Irving signed with the Lakers and rejoined James. Irving, of course, requested a trade from James' Cavaliers team in the summer of 2017.

One of the reasons, according to reports at the time, was because Irving wanted to be the top player on his own team and had grown weary of playing with James.

There appears to be no lingering ill will between the two stars.

Irving pointedly told the media after a Celtics game during the season that he reached out to James to apologize for the way he handled criticism from the four-time MVP when the two were teammates.
