According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jets held second interviews, presumably over the phone, with all the candidates they had already brought in: Joe Douglas, Scott Fitterer, Champ Kelly, and Terry Fontenot.
According to SNY Insider Ralph Vacchiano, the Jets spoke to all four candidates (again) about everything from money to whether they'd definitely take the job to their expected staff. Vacchiano says that the Jets are gathering all the info that they can to make a final deicison.

Eagles VP of Player Personnel Joe Douglas was the first name connected to the Jets after Maccagnan was fired, and he remains the favorite, reports Jason La Canfora.
According to La Canfora, the Jets and Douglas are discussing financials and an announcement regarding his hiring could come as soon as this week.

The Jets completed their interview with Chicago Bears Assistant Director of Player Personnel Champ Kelly on Monday. Kelly is the fourth and final candidate to be interviewed for the position.

Though the Jets completed their interview with their top candidate in Joe Douglas, the search is still on. The latest candidate to come through Florham park was Champ Kelly, who has his official interview today with the team. According to SI's Albert Breer, the Jets and Kelly had dinner last night.
Kelly is another candidate with an Adam Gase connection. He currently works as the assistant director of player personnel for the Bears, but knows Gase during his time with the Broncos.

The Jets interviewed Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas on Sunday, the team announced. This followed a dinner with the former Ravens and Bears employee, who is considered the front-runner for the job, per SNY's Ralph Vacchiano. He's completed three seasons in his current role with Philadelphia.
Scott Fitterer and Terry Fontenot have previously interviewed for the job. The Jets are expected to interview another candidate, Bears Assistant Director of Player Personnel Champ Kelly, this week before announcing a decision.

The Jets have completed their interview with New Orleans Saints Director of Scouting Terry Fontenot, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. They have already interviewed Scott Fitterer of the Seahawks and will dine with Eagles' VP of player personnel Joe Douglas Saturday evening before interviewing him on Sunday.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Jets have a busy upcoming schedule of GM interviews. After Scott Fitterer interviewed on Friday, Saints Director of Pro Scouting Terry Fontenot will interview on Friday, while Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas will interview on Sunday. Bears Assistant Director of Player Personnel Champ Kelly will then interview at the beginning of next week.

The Jets finished their first interview for the GM role with the Seahawks' co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer on Friday, the team announced.
Fitterer is a long-time member of the Seahawks, joining the franchise in 2001. He started as a scout, but worked his way up to director of college scouting in 2010. He moved into his current role in 2015, and stayed more on the college side as he worked with Trent Kirchner in the same position.

The Jets will meet with Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas over the weekend, reports Charles Robinson of Yahoo. Douglas' name was the first one to come up after the firing of Maccagnan, and he is viewed as one the frontrunners.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Jets have requested to interview Saints director of pro scouting Terry Fontenot.
The list of reported candidates the Jets are interested in interviewing is now up to five, with Fontenot joining Eagles vice president of player personnel Joe Douglas, Bears assistant director of player personnel Champ Kelly, Vikings assistant GM and vice president of player personnel George Paton and Seahawks co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer.
SNY Insider Ralph Vacchiano previously reported the Jets were interested in Douglas and Kelly, both of whom have worked with Gase previously.
Other names that had been mentioned at one point include 49ers vice president of player personnel Adam Peters, Lions director of player personnel Lance Newmark and even Peyton Manning.
However, a source told SNY's Ralph Vacchiano that Manning becoming the Jets' new GM is "unrealistic" and such a role with any team is "not a job he seems to want."
