The Giants announced that they have completed their second interview with Adam Peters, assistant GM of the 49ers.
Peters is the third and, presumably, final candidate to be interviewed a second time by the Giants this week as they search for their new general manager. As of right now, the three finalists are Peters, Kansas City Chiefs assistant GM Ryan Poles and Buffalo Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen.

San Francisco 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters will have his second interview for the job on Thursday at the Giants' facility.
Peters is the third and -- for now at least -- final candidate to have a second round interview, joining Kansas City Chiefs assistant GM Ryan Poles (who interviewed on Wednesday) and Buffalo Bills exec Joe Schoen (who interviewed on Tuesday).
Peters has been working in the NFL for 18 years, and has been the 49ers' vice president of player personnel for the last four. He spent eight seasons with the Denver Broncos and six seasons with the New England Patriots before joining the Niners.

Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles completed his second interview with the Giants, the team announced.
"Poles met with president John Mara, chairman Steve Tisch and senior vice president of player personnel Chris Mara at the team's Quest Diagnostics Training Center," said Giants.com's Michael Eisen. "He also sat down with other members of the team's front office and toured the facility."
Poles is the second finalist to earn a second interview, joining Buffalo Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen.
San Francisco 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters is up next on Thursday.

San Francisco 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters is a finalist for the Giants' GM job, joining Kansas City Chiefs assistant GM Ryan Poles and Buffalo Bills exec Joe Schoen.
Per multiple reports, Peters will have his second interview on Thursday.

Ryan Poles -- a finalist for the job along with Joe Schoen and Adam Peters -- will have his second interview on Wednesday at the Giants' facility.
Poles has been a rising star in the league for a while after learning from Scott Pioli, John Dorsey, and Andy Reid.
Poles is also drawing interest from the Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers.
He had his first interview for the Vikings' GM job on Tuesday, and has had two interviews for the Panthers' GM job.

The Giants announced on Tuesday afternoon that Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen has completed his second interview with the team, becoming the first candidate to do so.
According to the Giants, Schoen met with team president John Mara, chairman Steve Tisch and senior vice president of player personnel Chris Mara, among other members of the front office. Schoen also toured the team facility.
As SNY NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano has previously reported, there are many who consider Schoen the favorite to land the job.

Buffalo Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen has been named one of the finalists for the Giants' GM vacancy and will be getting a second interview, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reported on Tuesday.
Per Vacchiano, many consider Schoen the favorite among the nine candidates who have interviewed.
Schoen's second interview, per a source, will be in person on Tuesday.

The Giants announced they have completed their interviews with 49ers director of player personnel Ran Carthon and assistant GM Adam Peters on Monday, which are the last two on the known list of nine candidates.
As SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reported, finalists could be chosen very soon and in-person interviews could be done in the middle of the week with the hope of putting somebody in place by the end of the week.
Once that is complete, the next search is for the Giants' new head coach.

The Giants announced early Saturday afternoon that they completed their GM interview with Baltimore Ravens director of player personnel Joe Hortiz.
"Hortiz spoke with president John Mara, chairman Steve Tisch and senior vice president of player personnel Chris Mara this morning by videoconference," Giants.com's Michael Eisen wrote. "The initial interviews with candidates are being conducted remotely."
Hortiz is the seventh candidate to interview for the vacant position. San Francisco 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters and director of player personnel Ran Carthon, the last two known candidates, are tentatively scheduled to interview Monday.

The Giants have completed their interview with Tennessee Titans VP of player personnel Ryan Cowden, the team announced.
Next up later on Friday will be Titans director of player personnel Monti Ossenfort.
Cowden was the fifth candidate interviewed by the Giants in the last three days, with the team having already interviewed Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles, Buffalo Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen, Arizona Cardinals VP of pro personnel Adrian Wilson and Cardinals VP of player personnel Quentin Harris.

The Giants will head into the weekend having interviewed six of their nine known candidates, but it looks like their first-round of interviews will stretch into next week.
Their plan is to interview Ravens director of player personnel Joe Horitz over the weekend, according to a source. However, their interviews with 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters and 49ers director of player personnel Ran Carthon won’t happen until early next week. The delay is because the 49ers play the Cowboys in an NFC Wild Card playoff game on Sunday evening.
There is also a chance that the field of candidates will be expanded and a few more candidates will be brought in for interviews, a source said. That, of course, is up to the three people doing the interviewing – co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch and Giants VP of player evaluation Chris Mara.
Once the first round of virtual interviews end, the Giants plan is to bring in a couple of finalists for in-person interviews, probably by the middle of next week. It’s possible they could have a GM in place by next weekend, but that’s far from guaranteed.

The next interview will take place with Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles.

Baltimore Ravens director of player personnel Joe Hortiz is among the nine currently known candidates for the GM job, SNY NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano confirms.
Hortiz has been with the Ravens since 1998, working his way up through their scouting system before becoming their director of college scouting and now director of player personnel.
Hortiz helped the Ravens scout and eventually draft notable players like Joe Flacco, C.J. Mosley, and Ronnie Stanley, among others.

Schoen has become Bills GM Brandon Beane’s right-hand man during his time in Buffalo. He began his front office career as a national scout with the Miami Dolphins in 2008, when he worked under former Giants head coach Bill Parcells.

The Giants have requested permission to interview Arizona Cardinals VP of player personnel Quentin Harris, per multiple reports.
Harris, 44, has been in the Cardinals' front office or 14 years.
In his current role, he works with GM Steve Keim while managing the college and professional personnel departments. He also evaluates college prospects and oversees player acquisition and evaluation and assists with player contract negotiations.
Before his front office career, Harris played with the Cardinals and Denver Broncos in the NFL from 2002 to 2006.

The Giants were once thought to be grooming assistant general manager Kevin Abrams to be Dave Gettleman’s eventual successor. But his candidacy is now just collateral damage from the Gettleman Era.
The 51-year-old Abrams will not be interviewed for the team’s general manager position, according to a team source, meaning the next Giants GM will indeed come from outside of the Giants’ “family.” The Giants have either promoted from within or hired a former team executive each of the three times they had hired a GM since George Young arrived from outside in 1979.
But they clearly know they couldn’t do that now.
So for the moment, there are seven known candidates – all from other organizations. The Giants, sources confirmed, have requested permission to speak to Buffalo Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen, Tennessee Titans director of player personnel Monti Ossenfort and VP of player personnel Ryan Cowden, Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles, Arizona Cardinals VP of pro personnel Adrian Wilson, and San Francisco 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters and director of player personnel Ran Carthon.
