It's no secret Kyrie Irving is not a fan of the NBA's scheduled restart in Orlando next month. But he reportedly took it to a new length in a group chat with Nets players recently.

According to t he New York Daily News' Stefan Bondy, Irving proposed to his teammates that they can start their own league. He also lobbied for skipping the restart, which the Nets will be a part of in Orlando.

Nets' swingman Theo Pinson disputed the report, however, tweeting that it was "FAKE news!"

Guard Chris Chiozza also came to Irving's defense, tweeting "Y'all just making up s--- about my guy now..."

Caris LeVert chimed in on Instagram as well, replying to a headline with the cap emoji to call it out as untrue.

The Daily News later clarified that Irving did make that proposal to his teammates, though it was "not necessarily in response to the bubble situation."

Players that do wish to sit out and not play in Orlando have until June 24 to announce that decision to their team, per SNY's Ian Begley. Brooklyn will take either a chartered flight or bus to Florida between July 7-9.

Irving, who co-heads the players' coalition with the Lakers' Avery Bradley, was a leader in last Friday's call with many NBA players to discuss the plan to restart the season. He told them point blank, "I don't support going to Orlando."

"I'm not with the systematic racism and the bulls--t. Something smells a little fishy," he said.

On Wednesday, Bradley spoke to ESPN about the coalition's want to see a plan from the league before the season gets back underway regarding "issues of importance in the black community." Among the desires was better hiring processes for black men and women in front office and head coaching positions within the league.

"Regardless of how much media coverage will be received, talking and raising awareness about social injustice isn't enough," he said. "Are we that self-centered to believe no one in the world is aware of racism right now? That, as athletes, we solve the real issues by using our platforms to speak?

"We don't need to say more. We need to find a way to achieve more."
