The Nets fell to the Pistons Saturday night in a game that saw them blow a 14-point lead in the third quarter, but the night wasn't all bad for their starting point guard, Kyrie Irving, who picked up his third career triple-double in the loss.

Irving, who just started his ninth season in the NBA, finished the game with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to notch the feat.

Interestingly enough, Irving now has one triple-double with each team he's played for, having gotten his first career triple-double with the Cavaliers back in 2014 (21 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists) and his second with the Celtics earlier this year in March (31 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists).

Irving is off to a fantastic individual start to his Nets career, averaging 30.5 ppg, 7.5 apg and 6.5 rpg through the first six games of the season. But the Nets as a team have struggled out the gate, starting the season 2-4, including two one-point overtime losses.

The Nets allowed a 39-12 run by the short-handed Pistons in the second half after struggling with turnovers during that stretch. Also, despite his triple-double, Irving did not shoot the ball particularly well, going 8 for 21 from the field.

The Pistons were without Derrick Rose and Reggie Jackson Saturday night, and Blake Griffin has yet to make his season debut as he remained out with knee and hamstring issues.

The Nets will host the Pelicans on Monday before starting a five game road trip out west, so Kenny Atkinson's squad will really need to clean things up if they hope to turn things around.
