The Knicks fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 127-106 at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. >> Box Score

Five things to know from Wednesday's game

1) After Memphis held a 22-point lead midway through the third quarter, the Knicks were able to cut that lead down to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. But the Grizzlies, who shot 50.0 percent as a team for the game, refused to bend, as the Knicks were never able to dig any further into that lead. With the loss, the Knicks have now dropped 12 of their last 15 games, and are now 23 games under the .500 mark.

2) Frank Ntilikina did not play at all on Wednesday, just one night after only playing the final three minutes of the game against the Hornets on Tuesday. Dennis Smith Jr. played 13 minutes, scoring eight points. Elfrid Payton started the game and played 34 minutes at point guard, scoring 15 points and adding 11 assists.

3) Marcus Morris and Julius Randle combined for 33 points on the night, with Morris leading the team with 17 points. Randle scored 16 points but also hauled in 15 rebounds to go along with 6 assists.

4) Damyean Dotson continues to be one of the bright spots for the Knicks as of late. Coming off the bench, Dotson knocked down four of five three-point attempts and finished with 15 points.

5) In the game's final minute, Jae Crowder stole an inbound pass after the game was already out of hand. Payton took exception and shoved Crowder to the ground as he took a jump shot. Both team's immediately came together and had to be separated. Crowder and Payton were both ejected, as was Morris for escalating the incident.
