Five things to know from Tuesday's game

1) Tuesday's game was full of big runs. The Wizards opened up the game on an 18-4 run, with interim head coach Mike Miller calling two timeouts in the game's first four minutes. From then until the end of the first half, the Knicks outscored the Wizards 66-36. The Knicks' largest lead of the night was 18 points, but Bradley Beal's 20 third-quarter points outscored the entire Knicks roster (17). The Wizards outscored the Knicks 64-39 in the final 21:46 of the game.

 

3) Frank Ntilikina racked up a career-high 20 points and tied a season-high 10 assists. It was just his 11th double-digit point effort this season. Prior to Tuesday, he had just seven games with six or more assists this season. It was the fourth time in his career dropping at least 10 points and dishing out seven-plus assists.

3) Bobby Portis dropped 16 of the Knicks' first 33 points and finished with 20 points off the bench. In his last 10 games, he is averaging 14.2 points, earning double-digits in eight of them.

4) The bench outscored the starters 41-29 in the first half, and 66-49 in the whole game. They hit 16 of their 24 first half shots, while the starters hit just nine of their 17 (Taj Gibson went 4-4 from the field in the first half).

5) Dennis Smith, Jr. was active after being out of the previous five games with a concussion, but did not enter the game.
