Less than a week ago, the NBA's regular season was still in full swing.
But now, with the season suspended amidst the coronavirus outbreak that has put the entire sports word on hold, all NBA arenas are silent.
To pass some of the time until basketball returns, many NBA players have turned to social media to either post highlights of themselves, or just share some laughs and show off their creative sides.
Drew Hanlen, a noted NBA skills coach, recently decided to start his own TikTok channel, posting highlights of some of the players who he works with. One of the first videos on the page is a collection of big-time dunks from Knicks rookie RJ Barrett.
Barrett was having a very strong rookie season with the Knicks. Forced to take on much more of a scoring and playing time role, compared to many other rookies, Barrett had season averages of 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, all while playing 30 minutes a game and starting 55 of the 56 contests he's appeared in.
He's had some consistency issues with his shot, as he's shooting 40.2 percent from the floor overall and 32.0 percent from three-point range, but he's certainly shown the skills that made him the third-overall pick in last year's draft.
In the TikTok video, which Hanlen also tweeted out, Barrett can be seen throwing down a handful of monster dunks, including a between-the-legs throwdown and a couple where his head is at rim level.
It's unclear exactly when Barrett and company filmed the clips, but they're worth a watch.
