Since the Knicks were given the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, only Patrick Ewing and Isiah Thomas have said something about missing out on the top selection and Zion Williamson.

That is until team president Steve Mills spoke up at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago on Friday.

Though he didn't talk for long, Mills said the team is excited to use their No. 3 pick to further their rebuilding process.

"We're excited about where we are," Mills told The Post's Marc Berman. "We know we'll get a good player at 3. So it's something we're excited about and look forward to."

The Knicks have something in this Draft that they haven't had in awhile: Options. We all know Williamson is a lock at No. 1 to the Pelicans, but the Grizzlies could very well take RJ Barrett at No. 2. However, ESPN reported on Wednesday that Memphis is "already locked in" on taking the Murray State floor general with the second pick, leaving Barrett for the Knicks.

Either way, the Knicks will be getting a rookie that can make a major impact in 2019.

But how about using that pick in a trade package? Anthony Davis will be the talk of the offseason, as the Pelicans will try their best not to trade him away following their surprise win at the Lottery. But Davis and New Orleans were at odds all of last season, and it appeared as if Davis didn't want to be back next year.

The pick along with some of the Knicks' young pieces -- Frank Ntilikina, Allonzo Trier, and Dennis Smith Jr. come to mind -- would be a solid start to a trade package. But Mills wouldn't dabble in that thought, shaking off the question when asked.

"We're here to evaluate the players that are here and we'll keep moving along in our process," he said.

That process will be taking in everything they can about Barrett, Morant, and maybe even Cam Reddish and Jarrett Culver -- players some in the Knicks' front office seem to be high on. And the Combine is a great way to explore the rest of the field to see who else could intrigue New York.

Mills has liked what he and his team have accomplished during this crucial week in the offseason.

"It's been a good week for us," he said. "As a group, we have a lot of guys here meeting the young players. We probably have interviewed 30 different guys over the course of time here. So it's been a good productive week for us.

"We want to build this team the right way. We've always said we're going to continue to work hard during the draft process. We believe we're a team that can draft well and this is all part of our plan and growing our team.''
