League sources say the Knicks have touched base with the Detroit Pistons about a deal involving the No. 5 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, reports SNY's Ian Begley.
Cam Reddish's name has come up in the conversation and would fit Detroit's timeline.
The Knicks have also been linked to the No. 4 pick, currently held by the Sacramento Kings, where they would potentially select Jaden Ivey.
Begley recently reported that members of the Knicks organization have checked to see which teams have interest in Ivey.
Begley reported on Tuesday that it would take a "significant price" for the Knicks to trade up to No. 4, with the cost potentially being multiple picks and one of New York's young players such as Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin, or Quentin Grimes.
As far as the cost to trade up for No. 5, that is unclear. But it's fair to believe the Pistons would have a similar ask.
The Knicks currently have the No. 11 pick.
