Not a creature was stirring at Madison Square Garden on Christmas, not even the fans.

At least that is what rookie Kevin Knox said following the Knicks' 109-95 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

The Knicks rookie, who scored 21 points in the loss, sounded confused as to why the Garden crowd was not buzzing for the noon game on Christmas day.

"It was fairly quiet in there," said Knox, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News. "That was the weird thing. I didn't really understand. I don't know if that's a New York thing. But it was quiet pretty much the whole game."

Maybe it was too much eggnog on Christmas eve combined with the early start time, but the Knicks certainly did not give much of a reason to get the crowd into the game, either.

They trailed 48-46 at halftime but came out completely flat in the third quarter, getting outscored 36-22 in the frame and were never able to recover.

They last won at the Garden on Dec. 1, against the Bucks, have now lost six straight home games and do not return home until Jan. 11.

"I don't want to stand up here like they're brushing it off and getting onto the next day," head coach Diavid Fizdale said afterward. "They take it to heart with these losses. But again, I've just got to get them into the frame of mind and got to get to work and get on to the next game."
