The Islanders announced Tuesday that multiple players have agreed to terms on new deals ahead of next season.
Among them were Josh Ho-Sang, who avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract. According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, Ho-Sang settled his deal at $700,000 in the pros and $225,000 in the AHL – a two-way deal.
Ho-Sang, 24, collected 13 points (four goals, nine assists) with the AHL Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season. The first-round pick has a chance to break into the normal rotation for New York this coming season. He has 53 NHL games under his belt thus far.
A.J. Greer, Parker Wotherspoon, and Mitch Vande Sompel all agreed to terms on new deals as well. Greer’s is for one year while the others have two-year deals.
Greer was a standout with the Colorado Eagles – the Avalanche’s AHL squad – last season. He had 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists) in 47 games with the club. He also has 37 career games with the Avalanche.
Vande Sompel has 60 points in over 100 games with the Sound Tigers. The 23-year-old was an All-Star Classic invitee in 2019. Wotherspoon played his third season with the Sound Tigers in 2019-20, totaling 27 points on the year.
