Already down Denzel Mims, who was placed on IR earlier this week due to a hamstring injury, the Jets' wide receiver corps took another hit on Thursday when head coach Adam Gase revealed that Jamison Crowder is dealing with a hamstring injury of his own.

"He gets tight sometimes," Gase told reporters via Zoom. "Obviously he's missing practice today. We need to make sure that he's good before we put him out there."

Gase said that Crowder is not a candidate for IR at the moment and that his status for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers is up in the air.

Crowder was one of the Jets' top performers during their Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills, hauling in seven catches (on 13 targets) for 115 yards and one touchdown.

Crowder, Breshad Perriman, and Chris Hogan were Gang Green's top 3 receivers against the Bills.

With the above weapons at his disposal, Sam Darnold had one of his worst games as a professional in Week 1, and the last thing he needs right now is to be down another key receiver.

If the Jets are without Crowder against the 49ers, options to help fill the void include Braxton Berrios.
