According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jets had received interest from at least one team leading up to this past Tuesday's trade deadline for rookie defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.

Williams was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, after playing two seasons at Alabama. He was a unanimous first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC during his redshirt sophomore season, and even won the Outland Trophy -- which is awarded to the nation's best interior lineman.

"At least one team kept coming at the Jets, refusing to take no for an answer and offering a blockbluster package of picks that it thought New York could not turn down," Schefter said.

However, the Jets weren't persuaded enough, despite receiving calls from that team and others.

Williams has played in just five games for the Jets this season, recording 16 combined tackles, one tackle for loss, and 0.5 sacks.

SNY's Ralph Vacchiano had previously said that the Jets were willing to listen to offers on everyone except quarterback Sam Darnold and Quinnen Williams.
