The Jets are doing everything they can not to find themselves in a situation like the Los Angeles Rams or Cleveland Browns, as COVID cases continue to rise throughout the league.

Robert Saleh said Wednesday that all meetings will be virtual throughout the rest of the week and his team will be taking extra precaution heading into their matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

Saleh did say his team has a few flu cases going around, but no positive COVID tests have appeared and they're hoping it remains that way.

"You never want the amount of guys that are out for the Rams and [the 49ers] all lived it last year with one of our Thursday night games where half the team was basically out. But it’s not an ideal situation, but it adds to the amount of caution we all need to take.”

This is the first time this season the Jets are having all their meetings virtual leading up to a game, but in today's pandemic, it's nothing new to all these guys.

"It’s unfortunate they’re used to it because of the circumstances, but being able to slip right into it is seamless," Saleh said about his players and coaches.

The Jets will still practice in person and hold out hope they don't have to put anyone in COVID protocol with four days until they take on the Dolphins in Miami.

Wave of reinforcements on the way

Saleh mentioned earlier in the week that he believes he'll be getting a few players back this week, and he confirmed it on Wednesday.

Tevin Coleman and Michael Carter will be available in the backfield. Tyler Croft will be returning at tight end. Bryce Huff will add some punch on the D-line. And Michael Carter II will be back in the secondary.

Carter is certainly the biggest name here, as he's shown tons of production at running back in his rookie season and the Jets obviously want him to finish strong. Getting a run game going again only helps Zach Wilson
