The Jets brought back kicker Chandler Catanzaro this offseason, but the team could already be looking to replace him.

Catanzaro, 28, missed two extra points in the Jets' preseason opening loss to the Giants on Thursday.

The New York Daily News reports that the Jets will now hold workouts with kickers on Saturday, potentially to compete with Catanzaro as training camp rolls on. Potential kickers working out for the Jets include former All-Pro Blair Walsh, Chris Blewitt and the Jets could be interested in Kaare Vedvik.

Walsh, 29, hasn't kicked since 2017 when he suited up for the Seahawks. Walsh has connected on 82.4 percent of kicks over a six-year career and has converted 95 percent of his PATs. He was named an All-Pro and Pro Bowler in 2015 while with the Vikings. Minnesota drafted him in the sixth round in 2012.

Walsh's career went downhill once he missed a potential game-winning 27-yard kick in the playoffs in 2016 for the Vikings, which prompted the team to cut him the ensuing offseason.

Blewitt, 24, hasn't kicked in the regular season, but has spent time with the Bears and Steelers during various training camps.

Vedvik, 25, is currently the second kicker on the Ravens' depth chart, however, the NYDN also reports the Jets were interested in adding him last offseason when the Ravens signed him as a UDFA. He was 4-for-4 in the Ravens preseason opener this year. Vedvik played his college ball at Marshall and is a native of Norway.

Catanzaro signed a one-ar, $2.3 million contract with the Jets this offseason to replace Jason Myers, who signed as a free agent with the Seahawks this offseason. Myers previously replaced Catanzaro prior to the 2018 season, when he left the Jets for the Bucs. Catanzaro's first stint with the Jets was only for the 2017 season, when he converted 25-of-30 attempts.
