The Jets waived WR ArDarius Stewart on Wednesday, the team announced.
Stewart just finished serving a two-game suspension for violating the league's performance enhancing drug policy. He served the two games without pay.
The Alabama product played in 15 games last season, catching six passes for 82 yards. He was a third-round draft choice by the Jets back in 2017, and was on a four-year deal.
Now with Stewart cut, the Jets' 2017 draft class isn't looking pretty after the first and second round. Along with Stewart, fourth-rounder WR Chad Hansen was cut as well as fifth-round pick LB Dylan Donahue. Fifth-rounder TE Jordan Leggett is a backup and hasn't gotten much playing time, and sixth-rounder RB Eli McGuire is on the IR.
