He was a man the Redskins drafted 105th overall back in 2015 out of Duke -- someone they believed would be their secret weapon in the passing game for years to come.

But, on Sunday in Washington D.C., Jamison Crowder was handing it to his former employer instead.

The Jets took down the lowly Redskins, 34-17, on the road, and Crowder played a big part in that. He hauled in five receptions for 76 yards with a 29-yard touchdown as the big highlight from his performance.

"Yeah, for sure," he told SNY's Jeane Coakley when asked how good it felt to return and get the win. "It's great to get back-to-back wins. That's huge so hopefully we just stay on this streak. But definitely feels good to come here and get a win in Fedex [Field]."

For four years, Crowder was a solid option for the Redskins in the passing game, totaling 2,628 yards over 221 receptions over that span. That's why the Jets went after him hard in free agency to begin with, and head coach Adam Gase has been saying since the preseason that he is going to be a vital option for Sam Darnold all season long.

That has certainly been the case. He already has 73 targets and 53 catches for 562 yards and three touchdowns, as he's quickly become someone Darnold looks for immediately. The most targets he's ever had in his career was 103 in 2017, and he's definitely on pace to eclipse that mark.

This game, though, Crowder definitely wanted to stick it to his former team and he did just that. The Jets leave Fedex field with their first winning streak of the season, and Crowder leaves with a nice stat line to help that cause.

It was truly a win-win for both sides.
